We are a non-profit swimming club founded in 1930 in Frankfurt-Fechenheim. The volunteer board manages and represents the club and is re-elected every two years in accordance with our statutes.
The Wasserfreunde Fechenheim offers a wide variety of swimming courses. Both recreational and competitive swimmers will find the right activity for them. Our program ranges from advanced and expert training, talent development, to competitive and masters-level courses.
In other words: Your child can be anything from a Seahorse to an Olympic champion, and can also be active with the Water Friends. Depending on the group, training takes place in Bergen-Enkheim at the Riedbad, an indoor or outdoor pool, or in the winter in the air dome, as well as in the outdoor pool in Fechenheim.
This flexibility gives us ideal training conditions throughout the year.
The association currently has just over 300 members, approximately 80% of whom are children and young people. We have already received an award from the city of Frankfurt am Main for our exemplary youth work.

According to the statutes, membership can only be terminated on December 31st of a year with a notice period of three months, i.e. until September 30th.

With your donation, you can give us the opportunity to continue the development of the last few years and thus help to make the considerable financial burdens for athletes and parents more bearable. We believe that every child and young person should be able to practice their favorite sport, swimming. No one should be excluded from our club for financial reasons.
